TIMBER INDUCED DRAFT TOWERS

Unique
Timber Cross flow Towers by use of Seagull Bars either
in PVC or in Steel, 'C' type Drift Eliminators,
Aerodynamic FRP Fans, Drives with or without
Gear Boxes, all to give highest thermal
efficiency. Use of Seagull Bars ensure film &
splash cooling both. This gives more capacity by
20-25% over the conventional fill design.
STRUCTURE
:
Selected quality Pine Wood as per IS 2372 treated with
Chromated Cooper Arsenate
( ASCU Chemicals ) as per IS
401.
WATER
DISTRIBUTION :
Open gravity type basin made of tongue and grooved
treated timber Plank / marine plywood fitted with
polypropylene spiral target nozzles to have uniform hot
water distribution over the entire fill area.
FILL
:
ASCU treated timber splash bars fill supported on GRP
grids.
DRIFT
ELIMINATOR : Made of treated timber planks supported on grooved
treated plywood Eliminator frame in herringbone pattern. |

& LOUVERS :
Corrugated
Asbestos Cement-Board / Corrugated FRP sheet on special
applications.
HARD
WARES :
Structural connections are made with Hot Dipped
Galvanized bolts. Nails are of stainless steel
(304 quality), screw shank type S.S.304 / 316-quality.
MECHANICAL
EQUIPMENTS : FAN : Propeller Type multi-bladed fan assembly. Blades
are of cast Aluminium alloy and hub of cast iron.
Fan directly coupled with motor.
FAN
CYLINDER : made of HDG Steel / FRP coated Cylinder fitted with hot
dipped galvanized steel fan guard. MOTOR : New
India or equivalent makes 415V/3PH /50Hz TEFC
Weatherproof IP-54 enclosure. Class-B insulation
Flange mounted vertical motor with extended shaft
specially made for Cooling Tower Applications. |
